What community groups said ... Power of Personal Story Workshops

What surprised you?

That the questions I was writing were intended for me.

How easily people got into the process.

Synchronistic life experiences

How people were most interested in what you felt the most passion for., what was closest to your heart.

  • Why did you enjoy it?

New interesting people.

Watching people do what is a natural human behaviour but exists less and less in the last few decades-connected, listening and sharing.

So pleasant getting to know other peoples and other people's ideas, and nice to find someone who is interested in anything. So many people have no interest in these things.

I met an interesting woman with similar interests to mine.

Depth of appreciation.

Being listened to . I liked how I found out what people listened to the most. I liked formulating my thought and communicating. I liked being challenged.

I always enjoy learning about others. It provides an opportunity to build new relationships and I always learn more about the world around me.

  • An interesting question you heard, thought of, or asked.
About the books my partner read.. She will email a list.

What would you like to do with the second half of your life?
What was a turning point in your life?
What am I most interested in ?

What are you most excited about?

Do those interests resonate with your purpose or desires.

How could you use ideas from this session?

It could help me in building relationship which I can apply directly to my professional and personal life.
I liked the format.

The power of simple dialogue.
Understanding better how people respond and what they enjoy talking about. Focus on what excites me and interests others.

Would you like to have another session like this? Why or why not?
Sure, any time.
Yes it's a good chance to get 'close' to people with whom you have an association with, but may not know well.

Yes I feel like there are other things I could learn about interesting people.

Yes , but longer. I would like to observe what kind of questions produce the fullest or deepest answers.

What did you learn about yourself or others ?
We do like to share.

Katherine Hume Porter wrote, "I've never met a boring person"

I can enjoy being sociable.

Everyone has a rich experience to share.

They are most interested in what is positive from your life, and what matters most to you.

People like to share when they have a receptive and interested audience. They really open up.
